We don’t see it very often these days so it’s been absolutely AMAZING to get out in the snow today. Of course my usual 10,000 step walk was done and dusted first thing and back home by 8am.. It was lovely and peaceful to be out there. It felt like a magical world. Truly did.
Can you remember as a child how it felt?

Like seriously… when we were young we would be amazed and sat in wonderment at many things in life.. life was magical.. life was an adventure.. we all dreamed of being superman or wonder woman.
Can you remember?
Remember magical films? The lion the witch and the wardrobe for example? Stepping into somewhere new..
THIS is what we should have in our life.. this sense of excitement, of opportunity.. but it gets quickly eroded, taken away in life.. the daily drudgery of life kicks in, and lowers your mood, your happiness, your joy… your sense of adventure… your lust for life..
As an adult, this sense of excitement is all but gone…
We occasionally feel it and glimpse it when we go on holiday.. we start to enjoy ourselves so much, and then we usually say:
I wish we could have another week….. Imagine if we did this more often…. Imagine if we moved here or lived here…
That sense of excitement…
So isn’t it ironic that the life we live and have built is often hard and tiresome, and always being barraged by difficult things…
BUT… you can change it… pretty darn quickly in fact..
You can regain that happiness.. that lust for life.. you really really can..
I know this because I am experiencing it right now..
Simply done and achieved by practising daily gratitude.
Change begins from within.
All you need to do is think about or recall.. or look for 3 or 4 things every single day. 3 or 4 things that lift your mood. Look at the scale below.

Your aim is to be in those higher moods more often each day. You do this by finding things that bring you these moods.. These don’t have to be big things. So I will think of things that make me smile… like my daughter doing a Taylor swift show at home every night, or my dogs wagging their tails pleased to see me, or an exchange with someone while out on my morning walk..
For example this morning I said morning to 3 or 4 people, and a guy talked to me with his cute dog.. You can find this on my live stream from today…
Now I also do something similar for FUTURE things I want (aka goals).. I write:
“I am so happy and grateful now that: insert what you’re happy for“
so I write down in a notebook GOALS THAT I AM WANTING TO ACHIEVE in the present tense:
Eg:
I am so happy and grateful now that my YouTube channel is monetised and earning in excess of £5000 per month.
I am so happy and grateful now that I am my perfect weight and I eat very healthy, fresh meals every single day with fresh fruit and vegetables.
I am so happy and grateful now that I am in a loving relationship where we connect deeply with one another.
So with this, I write down my goals every day, and I re-read and look at the goals I have written, but I also try and feel what it would feel like to have these things.. even if you know it’s not yet real, just keep doing it.
So this is literally my day… thinking of the good things already in my life (raising my happiness, even if just a tiny bit – it makes a big difference!), and thinking of the good things that are coming. This will make you happier.
Have a great day!
