It’s been on my mind for a few days to get on the site and provide a sort of update.
I’ve continued waling 10,000 steps.. Currently at day 72, and going well. I also finished off the 7 day Dopamine Detox thing I started a week ago. Full details here. It wasn’t too bad to do..
Finding more and more things to be grateful became challenging, but one in which I was determined to complete.. It was taking an hour to find 70 in the morning, and 70 at night (by the time I got to day 7). Additionally I wasn’t 100% perfect with the healthy eating/no junk food rule, but I was almost perfect.. Had a couple of wobbles due to stress, and also due to the anniversary of my sister’s passing 1 year ago.
Most of my crazy-busy day is filled with the following:
- Walking 10,000 steps and live streaming it.
- Creating 1 or 2 short videos as I am walking or as a thought comes to me during the day, or when I see something inspiring and want to capture it.
- Going to my actual job/work, and doing actual work
At this point it starts to head to evening time and it’s usually quite chaotic in our house.. I’m talking a constant stream of distraction, like all the time, like every single evening..
Now don’t get me wrong, family comes first, and that is my priority, but usually it’s one of the children asking me to do something, or my beloved wife wanting a chat.
All of this is absolutely fine by the way, but when you’re trying to squeeze 24 hours of ideas into a few hours it can be challenging at times.. Such is the joy of trying to grow a YouTube channel, and change your life for the better.
So what I tend to do is little bits here and there, and this is in between getting up and doing all the other things.
It’s not easy, but in time this whole new concept of me walking, keeping fit, and writing blog posts will surely pay off..
The days are getting longer
Can’t complain about this one! We’re not quite there at the 5am sunlight that’ll come in Summer, but it does feel good now that the days are drawing out. It makes you feel good.
I lost weight!
I actually lost a massive 5 POUNDS in body weight last week, part way through doing to 7 day dopamine detox. I was really impressed with myself. This is what happens when you are super strict and clean with your eating.
I had almost zero junk food, very few snacks, and if so they were a healthy option.
